Noa Jamir
Louisiana native Noa Jamir knows how it feels to live inside out— to live with her heart wide open. In doing so, she has been able to connect with people across the world, one tender song at a time.
Inspired by the sounds of Gillian Welch, Lana del Rey, Nina Simone, Fleet Foxes, and more who provided the soundtrack to her childhood, Jamir began crafting her own delicate yet powerful sound as a teenager.
At 15, she learned to play guitar by studying performance videos of her favorite artists, learning songs by Leonard Cohen, Frank Ocean, and Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote. A few years later in 2019, Jamir released her first EP, “Solemn Nights, Brighter Days”, debuting some of the first songs she wrote on guitar. She has since then recorded a second EP, “Water the Garden”, which is an introspective collection of songs recorded during the 2020 pandemic. Alongside recording her own music, Jamir co-writes with local artists and has been featured on records from Wakai, Mariah Houston, and Shmoo.
Jamir is currently in the process of finishing her debut album, “Cicada”, a love letter to her childhood and Louisiana home
